Prince Charles and Camilla holiday on superyacht – Royals swap British weather for Corfu
PRINCE Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall swapped fishing boats in Scotland for a glamorous superyacht today as the couple were snapped enjoying the Greek sunshine.
The Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles have spent the last few days conducting their annual tour of the UK – visiting quaint tea and cake rooms, or sampling local ale during a trip to a brewery.
Known as the Duke of Rothesay while in Scotland, Charles even donned a kilt for the visit to the John O’Groats Brewery in Caithness.
But today, Prince Charles and Camilla swapped the British weather for a more exotic climate as they jet off to Greece.
The couple were snapped in floating, summery attire on board superyacht OKTO, which was owned by the Greek millionaire Theodore Angelopoulos.
One photo shows Charles leaning in to speak to the shipping magnate, who is regarded as Athens’ answer to Lord Coe for his role as president of the organising committee for the 2004 Olympics.
His glamorous wife Gianna, dressed in a vibrant tropical-coloured skirt with a deep purple shirt, was also present for the visit and escorted the couple from a speedboat onto the monster yacht.
The 216ft superboat boasts a dancing deck, cinema room and swimming pool – with lights to change the colour of the water.
It also boasts a gym, a formal dining room, and 80q m of open deck – and the boat is valued at a price of 54.5million Euro – around £49million.
Photos from the huge floating palace, currently moored off the coats of Corfu, show a fleet of smartly dressed staff lining up to greet the royal couple.
The heir to the throne has also spent part of the couple’s summer holidays on the mainland of the Greek island of Corfu.
The couple stayed in the villa of the well-known banking family Rothschild, where Princess Diana had also often spent her holidays.
But for Prince Charles, Corfu is more than a simple holiday destination.
His father Philip, the now retired husband of Queen Elizabeth II, was born in the country on June 10, 1921.
The Queen’s consort, aged 96, retired today after his final solo royal engagement at Buckingham Palace where he met with Royal Marines.

Please like this video and subscribe to my channel, it is very much appreciated 🙂

For our family holiday, we decided to head on down to Cornwall. I have never stayed in a tent before so this was definitely something out of my comfort zone. Toby was very excited about the sand and the sea and he throughly enjoyed himself. All in all, it was of the best holidays ever! My partner Jay also proposed to me whilst we were there and I obviously said yes!! So we’re now engaged and I could not be happier.

There is also a post up on my blog about our little trip so if you could head on over there to give it a read, I would be very thankful!

Thank you for watching and I hoped you enjoyed this little video giving you an insight on what we got up to.
