Travel video about destination Costa Rica.
Costa Rica is a fascinating country in Central America bordered by Nicaragua and Panama, a natural paradise between the Caribbean and the Pacific.Located at more than a thousand metres above sea level, San José, Costa Rica’s capital city, not only boasts an idyllic location in the heart of Central America’s coffee country, but also an enviable climate. The extent to which Costa Rica joins with European tradition can be seen in the Teatro Nacional. The coffee barons, to whom the glorious development of San José is owed, created taxes for the export of coffee beans and thus funded the construction of the magnificent building. In a fertile mountain valley at the foot of a volcano, is Turrialba, a town that radiates a serene calm but once was an important station on the route of the Jungle Train from San José to the Atlantic coast. The crater of the Poas Volcano is surrounded by the dense green of a rainforest and overlooks the north western Meseta Central. Although it is one of the country’s most active volcanoes, it is the most visited, as visitors can go by car almost to the edge of the crater. The Rain Forest Aerial Tram is Costa Rica’s most popular tourist attraction, a ride on an open gondola through the jungle. A journey of discovery amid a canopy of trees, hovering at treetop level through the solitude of nature. Fascinating nature, joie de vivre and colonial history are omnipresent on this land bridge between North and South America, Costa Rica is surely one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

Trinidad Vacation Travel Video Guide

Travel video about destination Trinidad.
Located to the south of the Caribbean island of Cuba, Trinidad was founded by the Spaniard, Velazquez and in the 18th century the city experienced great wealth and recognition through the cultivation of sugar cane. The exclusive palaces and villas of the sugar barons still leave their mark on the city with tall wooden gates, barred windows and original roof tiles that characterise the style of bygone days. The Palacio Padron is located on the Plaza Mayor, the centre of the city. A few years ago the palace was lovingly restored in painstaking detail and transformed into an archaeological museum. Around the main square the most beautiful palaces stand in rows and are an impressive indicator of the colonial lifestyle enjoyed by the former sugar aristocracy. The slave trade and the cultivation of sugar cane made the island’s inhabitants incredibly wealthy and Trinidad became the most important cultural and trade centre in the whole of Cuba. The former palace of the Cantero sugar barons now houses the Museo De Historia, an impressive building in the Calle Bolivar in which visitors can marvel at old timepieces, porcelain, furniture and valuable crystal chandeliers. The seven storey Torre De Iznaga rises menacingly into the sky, the bells of which once summoned the plantation slaves to work while watchmen surveyed the valley from above because of the fears of the plantation owners who believed that one day the slaves would rebel against them. Splendid exotic beauty in a land situated between sun and socialism, sugar and cigars, rumba and revolution. In Trinidad it is as though everything is in a state of suspended animation waiting to be kissed awake.

Travel video about destination Bali in Indonesia.
Bali – island of the gods and gateway to Paradise – is a relatively small island, east of Java across the Bali Strait, one of 17,000 Indonesian islands. In recent years, luxurious hotel complexes have appeared, tastefully re-creating the island’s ethnic traditions. The capital of Bali, Denpasar, is the commercial centre of the island with good shopping facilities and a fascinating variety of entertainment.Colourful dance and drama play an important part in the lives of the Bali people and almost every village has its own dance group, the favourite dance being the Barong. In the north of the island, the 1800 metre high Gunung Batur volcano is still active and in the lat century has erupted four times, its slopes covered in lava fields, which extend deep into the crater. Hindu temples abound, the Pura Kehen being one of the most beautiful terraced temples in Bali and the Pua Besakih, the most revered. At sunset, hundreds of people visit the spectacular though small temple of Tanah Lot which is situated on the top of a volcanic cliff. As in ancient times, rice is still cultivated in the traditional way and ox and plough traverse the fields. Sun drenched beaches, cloud-kissed volcanoes, exquisite ethnic architecture and dreamy temples – it’s no wonder that Bali is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in East Asia.

Vietnam Vacation Travel Video Guide

Travel video about destination Vietnam.
North Vietnam is still ruled by communism but in the south the hammer and sickle fades into capitalism that is gradually beginning to dominate all. One country and two lifestyles, Vietnam has opened up its borders. It is a country of beautiful landscapes, amicable people and a great cultural heritage.Hanoi is North Vietnam’s lively capital city located in the north of the country and set amid the delta plains of the Red River. The Chua Mot Cot Pagoda is one of the oldest religious buildings in Hanoi and is a temple built upon a single column in the centre of a small lake. On the shores of the Song Huong, Giang in the heart of Vietnam is a former royal city and today’s provincial capital of Hué. Nine mighty canon are the symbolic guards of the historic citadel. Beyond its defences are five hundred hectares that contain the Imperial City and also the Forbidden Purple City. Da Nang’s Cham Museum contains a fine collection of Cham sculpture from the surrounding provinces. It boasts more than three hundred exhibits divided into ten rooms, with sandstone deities, monsters and heavenly dancers. With nearly six million inhabitants, Saigon is also known as Ho Chi Minh City. The Jade Pagoda, the Temple of the Jade Emperor, highlights the country’s religious faith. The interior features Daoism in all its splendour and it was here that it all began, at the junction of the Ben Nghe Canal on the slowly flowing Saigon River. Vietnam is a colourful land that still contains ancient tribes and exotic landscapes – a fascinating paradise located on the exotic edge of South East Asia!

Amsterdam Vacation Travel Video Guide

Travel video about destination Amsterdam in Holland.
Amsterdam is a captivating metropolis, a city of canals in which anything is allowed as long as it does no harm.

In 1567, the much-traveled Italian, Lodovico Guicciardini, referred to Amsterdam as ‘The Venice of the North’. Today, the view across the main square and royal castle gives little hint that the city is supported by stakes and that Amsterdam is the largest lakeland village in the world.

The bicycle is one of the city’s main features. Parking spaces have been designed specially for this mode of transport and it shows that even in a large city, there is an alternative way of getting about.

In the city centre, there are nearly 7,000 protected houses and warehouses, most of which date back to the 18th and 19th centuries. The 300 year old Magere Brug is of wood construction and is one of the most beautiful drawbridges in the world.

The Bloemenmarkt has been in existence since the 17th century and in bygone days, fresh flowers were delivered by boat and sold on board. Here a great variety of colorful tulips and bulbs is offered for sale, as well as many exotic plants and seeds.

New Church is almost 600 years old but due to it’s lack of worshippers, it is now used as a venue for exhibitions and concerts which fund its continued maintenance. Built around 1300 A.D., Old Church is the oldest religious building in the city. During the Middle Ages, it served as a refuge for vagrants but today it is surrounded by a sex and entertainment district.

In 1682, the city fathers decided to create a leisure area east of the city, in the centre of which the Artis Zoo was subsequently established, the oldest zoo on the European continent.

Amsterdam possesses an inescapable charm that is adored by both aged hippies and trendy teenagers alike. It is Europe’s irresistible ‘Capital of Cool’!

Caribbean Cruise Vacation Travel Video Guide

Travel video about destination Carribean Cruise.
The Royal Caribbean’s gigantic cruise ship, Voyager Of The Seas, is a technical wonder of modern times and also the largest ocean-going cruise ship in the world:a floating hotel complex that accommodates 5,000 passengers. The pulsating heart of the ship is the 120 metre long Royal Promenade, a replica London’s Burlington Arcade, which boasts a splendid variety of shops and on decks 11 and 12 the popular Fitness Centre is the largest on the seven seas. Particularly fascinating is the successful integration of three restaurants on three decks, an idea copied from the interior of the Paris Opera House. But the most unexpected attraction is an Ice Rink that is also used for International Ice Revues. And the enormous atrium, with all of its glittering structures of chrome and glass, is like a futuristic work of art. There’s even a casino which features Black Jack, roulette, dice, video poker and one-armed bandits and where those who are really lucky may even win back the cost of their holiday. With stopovers in Haiti, Jamaica and Cozumel off the coast of Mexico, a Sunday afternoon cruise on the river was never like this!

Singapore Vacation Travel Video Guide

Views:108369|Rating:4.69|View Time:25:34Minutes|Likes:269|Dislikes:18
Travel video about destination Singapore.
Singapore is a city of gardens and the heart of South East Asia. Its history began in 1819 with Thomas Stamford Raffles, a young official who worked for the British East India Company. Raffles estimated that the natural harbor was perfect for trading ships, so he bought the land from the Sultan of Johor and founded a trading settlement.

As a free port, Singapore attracted trading ships from all over the world and today, 4 million people live here on an area that covers 640 square kilometres.

In June each year, there is an exciting boat race in Marina Bay known as the Dragon Boat Race, that features magnificently painted dragon boats with hand-carved heads and tails accompanied by the sound of frenetic drumbeats.

Dating back to colonial times, British influence is omnipresent, whether the Cricket Club or the Parliament, traditional English spirit rules despite Singapore’s Independence.

The World Famous Raffles Hotel is situated in the Colonial District near the Singapore River. In the hotel’s Ashanti Bar, it was customary to throw expired peanut shells directly onto the floor and at the same time, reverently sip a Singapore Sling, the national drink.

The Singapore Zoo is one of the finest in the world in which the animals can roam freely, their territory being surrounded by a landscaped ditch. Approximately 2,800 animals live in the spacious enclosures and even those from the world’s coldest regions can be observed both below and above water, thanks to cleverly designed viewing areas.

A complete mix of ethnic cultures, there’s Chinatown, Little India and the Arab Street Quarter in which there are mosques, women wear burqas and there is all the hustle and bustle of a bazaar.

Singapore is an exotic city of skyscrapers, a cultural melting pot and the exciting gateway to South East Asia!
