Secret for NOT watering your plants while you are on vacation

In this video Shawna Coronado demonstrates, tests, and reviews the Vacation product on her container gardens. She demonstrates how to water the plants with the Vacation liquid, then leaves the plants for several weeks. The plants go into stasis and require no water, but remain beautiful.

This saves money and water, particularly while you are unable to supervise the plants while on vacation or away from your home. Shawna shows the real results of what happens when she returns: the plants – even the plants placed in a dark closet – look healthy.

Metal Detecting Vacation with Jocelyn aka Relic Recoverist VLOG # 2

This is the second metal detecting vlog from the metal detecting vacation we took a few weeks ago on the east coast. For those not familiar with our channel or if this is your first time watching one of our videos, Amanda, James and myself drove to Pennsylvania a few weeks ago to meet up with Jocelyn a.k.a. Relic Recoverist and The Hoover Boys. We ended up digging for about six and a half days straight and we all knocked several items, including many colonial items, from our bucket list. As you’ll see in this video, I dug my first official matron large cent as soon as we arrived at the second permission that Jocelyn put us on. We also got to meet Jocelyn’s digging buddy John and Brian and his wife from Digging Nine to Five. I will pin all channels featured in each video to the top of the comments for those interested in checking them out.
There will be at least 3, if not 4 more videos coming over the next week from this trip.
If you haven’t already, subscribe to our channel and follow us along on our future detecting outings and adventures.

Kalahari Resort PA Vacation Poconos Mountains

Views:2498|Rating:4.38|View Time:9:24Minutes|Likes:14|Dislikes:2
Here is our video footage of Kalahari Resorts in the Poconos Mountains, Pennsylvania. Kalahari is a resort with an indoor waterpark which makes it ideal for year round vacation fun! There’s lots to do.

We booked a 2 day stay which gives you a discount. The rates vary according to what time of year, what room and what day of the week you stay.

They have everything at the resort so you don’t have to leave. Restaurants are decently priced. A word to the wise…don’t eat at the buffet….it was expensive and horrible. I highly recommend the Ivory Coast Restaurant in the lobby area. The food was inexpensive and really delicious! Gift shops are available and they even had a small shop in the lobby area in case you need to purchase personal items or things you may have forgotten at home by accident or ran out of, kinda like an airport shop.

If I could do it again, I wish I could stay a little longer but 2 days was quite enough time to have fun. Park opens around 9am and stays open until around 10pm. Plenty of time to take breaks in between in your room etc.

There were a lot of things I didn’t get to cover in the video b/c I wanted to make it shorter but if you have any questions, please let me a comment down below 🙂

Enjoy 😉

The locals in Fiji have a saying, “Bulla,” which means “life” and “good health.” You’ll hear it used frequently as a greeting when you arrive at the 330-strong islands that comprise this archipelago. You may even find yourself saying it before long!

Any Fiji tour will highlight its magnificent, unspoiled waters and lush landscapes. Go snorkeling, swimming, diving, and sailing on turquoise waters. If you’d rather stay on dry land, you can zipline through rainforests or explore the windy plains of the highland area. Travel to the interior and learn about traditional Fijian culture, or visit the capital city of Suva and wander through its colonial buildings, bazaars, and the quiet harbor.

Two-thirds of the Fijian archipelago are uninhabited, and your Fiji sightseeing should include a stop at Denarau’s marina, where you can book a boat to take you to some of these pristine locations. From family-friendly islands to romantic getaways, you’ll find something to your taste amongst these scattered isles.

How to Feed Fish on Vacation / Holiday

Views:46512|Rating:3.88|View Time:9:19Minutes|Likes:163|Dislikes:47
Feeding Fish on Vacation

Preparing the aquarium

Do a normal sized water change the day before you leave; don’t be tempted to do a huge water change larger than your normal amount as this may disrupt your aquarium water chemistry.

Leave algae growth in your aquarium until after you return. Many fish will actually feed on algae on your aquarium plants, glass or ornaments when they do not receive food regularly. By not cleaning your aquarium algae too thoroughly before going on vacation, you can provide a much needed food source for your fish whilst you are away.
Preparing the Filter

Do any filter maintenance no closer than a week before you leave to give your filter bacteria a chance to recover.

Filter maintenance can kill off good bacteria; if an overly aggressive cleaning is done, it may kill off too much of the ammonia reducing bacteria in you filter and cause an ammonia spike when you go away.
Preparing the Fish

Many people get tempted to overfeed their fish before they go on vacation. Doing this may cause an ammonia spike and poor water quality. Feed your fish normally up until you leave.

Make sure all your fish are getting along. Any aggression between fish will increase when food is scarce. If your fish are bickering, try to split them up before you leave if possible.

Make sure your fish are healthy and free from disease. Any illness may get worse whilst you are away as a fishes immune system will get weaker when they haven’t eaten for a while. A dead fish can cause an ammonia spike and possibly wipe out the entire aquarium.

Feeding Fish on Vacation

Vacation for 1-3 days

All healthy fish will be fine to be left without food for up to three days. This length of time without food presents no danger to any fish.

Vacation for 4-7 days

If you are going for a week most fish medium to large fish of three inches or larger will be fine without any food. Small fish (tetra size and below) are less resistant and you may need a friend to feed them using pre measured amounts that you leave for them. An auto feeder is also a great choice to give your fish food whilst away.

Vacation for over 7 days

For one week or over, only the largest fish such as large cichlids will be able to cope without food. For these lengths of time, having somebody come round to feed your fish or using an auto feeder is necessary.
