Hot in the world of tech, is Trek. Having a snoop around online this weekend meant that we got a glimpse of a new e-bike. We’ve not heard anything official from Trek, so we are hoping this isn’t an early, or late April Fools, as it looks great. It’s the Domane Plus! It comes with a Bosch battery providing 350w, which also powers up the integrated daytime running lights and according to the spec sheet it will also come equipped with a Sram Force 1x groupset too. More info on it when we have it!

We’ve been thinking about those lightweight bikes we talked about a couple of weeks back and whilst having a crazy lightweight bike isn’t necessarily that practical for all. We’ve decided to try and build the world’s most expensive bike! Ok, we haven’t actually built it, but we have scoured the internet to source the most expensive components for every single part of a bike. We wanted to try and get an idea of just how much the most expensive bike in the world could cost – in theory.

Let us know in the comments if we missed any super expensive components.👇

Banged Up Abroad : Peru (World’s Hardest Prisons)

Views:82371|Rating:3.20|View Time:30Minutes|Likes:16|Dislikes:9
Two teenage prom queens are promised a luxury holiday in Peru. Instead, they find themselves facing six years in one of the world’s worst prisons. Jennifer Davis, a prom queen from a strict religious family in Illinois, is just 19 when she moves to California, dreaming of a modelling career. She meets 18 year old Krista Barnes on her first day there, and they instantly became best friends. They look forward to a fun-packed year living together in their Californian beach house, away from the overbearing presence of their strict dads for the first time (one was a prison warden, the other a police officer). They’ve only been roommates for three weeks when their landlord introduces them to a couple of good looking Peruvian lads who make them a life-changing proposition: an exotic, all-expense paid holiday to Peru in exchange for bringing back a bit of cocaine. The Peruvians assure the squeaky clean girls – who didn’t have so much as a parking ticket between them – there is no chance of getting caught, and that they’d each receive US$5,000 on their return. The girls think about it for a while, before agreeing. Setting out with guide books and sun-block, they couldn’t imagine the nightmare ahead of them.

Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort Tour | Hotel Grounds & Holiday Fun

In today’s vlog we head to Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Tour. We were also there on National Gingerbread Day during the holiday season so we also took a look at the giant gingerbread house in the lobby. We even bought one of the gingerbread shingles to try. It was chewy but good! Then we took a look around the hotel lobby and around the hotel grounds. We even got a chance to look inside the wedding pavilion and bridal party suite (I’m not sure what it’s actually called), it was really cool to see how they framed the window around Cinderella Castle. That would definitely make for a magical ceremony! Then we checked out the outside picture spots and beach area. We took a look at the DVC lobby and the main lobby restaurants and other food locations around the hotel. We showed as many menus as we could to give you guys an idea of the food selection and price.

Thailand’s Jurassic Mountain Resort & Fishing Park has 10 of The World’s Largest Fish

Views:2004|Rating:3.00|View Time:1:58Minutes|Likes:3|Dislikes:2
If you are a really looking to impress your friends with a catch of the day, you should consider booking a trip to Thailand. The southeast Asian country has a little-known lake that boasts some of the largest carp in the world – and huge specimens of other varieties. The fish are so gigantic that the lake is starting to make ripples in the angling world. Incredible photographs on the location’s Facebook page show successful anglers posing happily with their gigantic catches, some of which can weigh a whopping 200lb. Situated among vibrant rice paddies in the shadows of dramatic limestone mountains, the striking Jurassic Mountain Resort & Fishing Park possesses 10 of the world’s largest carp. The lake has been designed and stocked for sport fishing, so forget taking your catches home for supper. ‘Catch and release’ photos are encouraged, but must be taken on an unhooking mat on your knees, with the fish raised no more than two feet from the ground. Only tackle set up as provided by the fishery must be used to promote the safety and well-being of the fish. Currently there are 17 species stocked including giant Siamese carp, Indian carp, Amazon redtail catfish, Niger ripsaw catfish, giant snakehead, tambaqui and alligator gar. And special rules are given for one of the lake’s largest inhabitants, Arapaima from the Amazon. Capable of growing to a length in excess of 10 feet in the wild, these large fish are only allowed to be unhooked in the water, and cannot be raised out of the lake to avoid injury. Those looking for a peaceful afternoon on the lake can expect to fork out 5,800 baht (£113) for the experience, with accommodation available at the resort for those wanting to make a trip out of it. The park said on its Facebook page: ‘As the venue grows in popularity, with more lines in the water, anglers bait going in like there’s no tomorrow and the introduction of more and more monsters, Jurassic’s carp fishing is second to none.’

Surfing the World’s Largest Wave Pool, Japan

Wow! During the crazy hot Japanese summer holidays, it’s funny how many people flock to the swimming pools, lol. The epic “Ocean Dome” in this video is the largest indoor wave pool in the world and holds the Guinness Record. I was featured in the Surfing Show doing my Surf Juggling Challenge during holiday periods for about three years. Follow the link to the real Ocean Version of my stunt here:

Unfortunately, due to financial concerns the Ocean Dome was sold to Sheraton Hotels and has been indefinitely closed. I believe this was the best and largest surfing wave (non-flowrider) EVER for a pool. They held world ASP events here and several top pro surfers commented that these were the best waves they ever surfed in a wave pool.

Why Are the World’s Animals Dying?

Views:276|Rating:4.09|View Time:3:32Minutes|Likes:9|Dislikes:2
A new report says 60% of mammal, fish, bird, amphibian and reptile species have been lost since 1970. It’s a period of time scientists have dubbed ‘The Great Acceleration’ – great for humans but not so great for animals.

Imagine going to visit some of your favourite animals, only to find out there are no animals to see. A world without animals would be pretty devastating, and the scary thing is our future could look like this. Since the mid-1900s the global population’s exploded and the impact we humans are having on the natural environment has increased dramatically. It’s a period of time scientists have dubbed ‘The Great Acceleration’.

In lots of ways, taking advantage of our planet’s resources has been great. Many countries have seen big improvements to health, wealth and the availability of food. But there’s a flipside to this progress.

As we change, pollute and destroy the habitats of wild animals we’re also waving goodbye to our biodiversity. You can think of biodiversity as the ‘web of life.’ It includes all living things like plants, animals and bacteria, and the ecosystems they’re part of. It’s essentially the structure that all life relies on to survive. The World Wildlife Foundation says thanks to human activity, over the past 40 years or so, we’ve lost 60% of our planet’s birds, mammals, fish and amphibians.

The places worst hit are in the tropics. In South America and Central America, the number’s closer to 90%. Globally at the moment we are completely failing to tackle the loss of nature on the planet and that’s gotta stop now.

It’s not only the animals that suffer from this decline. It’s bad for us humans too. We depend on healthy ecosystems for things like food production, medicine and clean air and water. Not to mention for our fun outdoor adventure holidays.

So are things going to get even worse? Well, the World Wildlife Foundation says yes, if we don’t take action fast. It says that action should include things like putting strict limits on our greenhouse gas emissions, spending more money on renewable energy like wind and solar, and finding cleaner, greener ways to produce our food.

Overall the report says things need to change quickly if we want to avoid living in a world where weird, wonderful, wild creatures are confined to picture books and made of stuffing.
